Im Herbst wird die britische Band um S&auml;nger und Songwriter Steven Wilson ihr neues Album ver&ouml;ffentlichen. Im Oktober sind Porcupine Tree dann auf Deutschland-Tour zu sehen. Zuletzt war man im Herbst 2007 auf deutschen B&uuml;hnen zu Gast.<\/p>\n<p>Das am 18. September erscheinende neue Album ist der Nachfolger von &quot;Fear Of A Blank Planet&quot; (2007), mit dem Porcupine Tree begeisterte Kritiken einheimsten. So etwa im Fachblatt &quot;Rock Hard&quot;, wo das Album mit der seltenen H&ouml;chstpunktzahl von 10 Punkten zum Album des Monats gew&auml;hlt worden ist.<\/p>\n<p>Gegr&uuml;ndet bereits 1987, entspringt Porcupine Tree einer Bierlaune des damals 20-j&auml;hrigen Musikers Steven Wilson. Aus Spa&szlig; kreierte er die virtuelle Band Porcupine Tree, die fiktive Geschichte um die angebliche &quot;legend&auml;re&quot; 70er-Jahre-Prog-Rock-Band Porcupine Tree inklusiver gefakter Discographie und mit einer richtigen Biographie ausgestattet. Solo nimmt er Songs auf, die er auf Kassetten bannt und diese als verschollene Aufnahmen der Legende deklariert. Erst sp&auml;ter erscheinen die ersten regul&auml;ren Alben, die den Fankreis der Band rasch wachsen lassen. Einen gro&szlig;en Schritt nach vorn unternimmt die inzwischen hochprofessionelle Band Porcupine Tree 2002, als man mit &quot;In Absentia&quot; das erste Majoralbum einspielt. Das Meisterwerk &quot;Deadwing&quot; folgt 2004, darauf dann das erw&auml;hnte &quot;Fear Of A Blank Planet&quot;. Immer gr&ouml;&szlig;er wird die Gefolgschaft der Band, die auch in Deutschland von kleinen Clubs in gr&ouml;&szlig;ere und inzwischen in mittelgro&szlig;e Hallen zieht<\/p>\n<a
